Growth Mindset
A key factor in progress of any kind in life is the belief and knowledge that the brain is something which develops, as we as people develop. A growth mindset coins the notion that we can grow and develop mentally as we do physically. In holding onto the idea that we are not intelligent or not able to do something we arrest our development. Challenges are there to be worked through and struggles are an indicator of progress.
Our comfort zone is not a place in which we develop and failures are key to understanding ourselves and creating targets for improvement. Instilling this philosophy from an early cognitive stage is a beautiful gift to give your child.
