Marc is an experienced and passionate teacher who brings with him both depth and breadth of experience throughout the education sector.
Having been educated at Devonshire House School, Belmont School and Mill Hill School (scholarship) he completed his BA (2:1 with honours) at Sussex University before completing his PGCE (primary years) and MA (teaching and learning) at St. Mary’s University. Outside of academia, Marc is a talented sportsman who has represented Sussex County for Rugby and Middlesex for cricket as well as playing for Fulham football club in his youth. Marc also undertook Royal Navy officer training before embarking on his career as a teacher.
His other qualifications include those from the British Dyslexia Association and Met police along with Advanced Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid as well as extensive sports qualifications such as Level 2 RFU, ECB, FA and Level 3 British swimming awards.
Marc founded Lambert-Montague Education after having taken up management positions at Devonshire House School (Hampstead) and Eaton House the Manor (Clapham) and prior to these taught at Arnold House school (St. John’s Wood) and St. Anthony’s School (Hampstead), including roles as Head of Year and Head of Department. He has subsequently worked at Millfield School and Highgate school.
Marc has a unique and robust knowledge of the independent sector and experience working in the country’s leading establishments. Outside of running his tutoring company, Marc works in one of the country’s leading Secondary Schools, with the English Cricket Board as a coach developer, Middlesex cricket board as an ambassador and is also involved with various educational and sports initiatives such as the All Sports Club and bursary schemes at Mill Hill School.
Marc’s extensive experience makes him a well-balanced practitioner who has an excellent rapport with children of all ages and abilities, to include those with special educational needs. He brings a light hearted and passionate approach which fosters a great environment for learning.
His knowledge of the 7+, 8+, 11+, pre-test and Common entrance processes is excellent, having worked in this area for many years and he has successfully helped his clients gain entry to an array of prestigious establishments including; Harrow, Westminster, Charterhouse, Wellington, St. Paul’s, UCS, Merchant Taylors, Mill Hill, Highgate, Channing, Queens College, Putney High, Wetherby and Brighton College- to mention but a few.
The care and dedication Marc takes in understanding and meeting the needs of every child as well as his knowledge and proven pastoral experience make him a unique teacher and mentor. He is a hands-on director who continues to teach and tutor as well as mentoring his staff and working in direct liason with families, providing, at all times, a personal and heartfelt approach.
